4 Days Marrakesh, Merzouga, Ouarzaza

Your journey to the Merzouga Desert begins in Marrakech, wherever you prefer., hotel/Riad . Your driver/guide will be waiting for you with a comfortable vehicle for the entire route.

We will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi N’tichka Pass, offering breathtaking views of the mountain peaks, often covered with snow from autumn through spring.

The first major stop of the day will be the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Its visit (optional) is highly worthwhile, as it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has served as a filming location for famous productions such as Lawrence of Arabia and Game of Thrones.

Passing through Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Morocco, we continue along the famous “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” named after the many adobe fortresses scattered throughout the region.

The Valley of Roses and later the Dades Valley bring color and lush vegetation to the final stretch of the day.

The evening will be spent in a charming riad in the Dades Valley, where you will enjoy dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

After breakfast at the riad, the second day begins with even more unforgettable experiences.

Before reaching the desert, we will stop at the impressive Todra Gorges. Our vehicle will navigate the winding roads through this dramatic canyon, and we will also take time to walk and admire its towering rock walls and the small river that flows through this spectacular natural formation.

A similarly impressive landscape awaits in the Merzouga Desert, surrounded by a sea of fine golden sand dunes.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, we will stop at a local hotel where you will change your means of transportation: four wheels will give way to humps as you mount your dromedaries for a camel trek to the desert camp (optional and replaceable with a 4×4 vehicle if preferred).

Watching the sunset over the dunes of Erg Chebbi will undoubtedly be one of the most magical moments of the entire journey. Later, the clear desert sky offers a breathtaking opportunity to admire the stars.At the end of the day, enjoy dinner and a restful night in traditional Berber tents, equipped with every comfort.

The third day begins with the unforgettable sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga, a breathtaking display of light and silence in the desert.

After sunrise, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga. During the morning, you will also have time to freshen up (either at the camp or at a nearby hotel depending on the travel package).

We then continue our journey, leaving the Merzouga Desert behind and traveling through other regions of the Sahara.

Our first stop will be Rissani, home to the largest traditional medina in southern Morocco. From there, the route continues through Alnif, Tazarine, and N’Kob, small towns that still preserve the charm of ancient Berber desert settlements.

Shortly afterward, we will take a slight detour south toward the Draa Valley, where you will discover the largest palm grove in North Africa.Before reaching Zagora, we return along the road toward Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Tonight we will stay here in a comfortable hotel, where dinner is included.

The fourth and final day of the Merzouga desert tour brings us back to Marrakech.

After breakfast at the hotel, there will still be time to visit another remarkable monument: the impressive Kasbah of Taourirt, one of the largest and best-preserved kasbahs in southern Morocco.

This optional visit allows you to admire its beautifully decorated adobe exterior, as well as its intricate interior featuring carved plasterwork and colorful tiles.

After the visit, we return to the road to complete the final 200 km journey to Marrakech. Once again, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka Pass, enjoying views of lush landscapes and Berber villages similar to those seen on the first day.Our services will conclude at Marrakech Airport or any other agreed location, with warm thanks, best wishes for the future, and hopes to welcome you again soon.
